We cordially invite you to the CardioFlame Symposium on November 23-24, 2017 at the Lecture Hall Center of the Medical University of Graz.
This joint symposium of the Austrian Society of Cardiology’s Working Group on Fundamental Cardiovascular Research and the PhD Programs of the Medical University of Graz focuses on inflammatory processes in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease, both in respect to vascular and myocardial remodeling.
The role of inflammation in cardiovascular disease has been studied for decades. However, only recently the results of the CANTOS trial provided new proof of principle that therapies based on inflammatory processes hold great promise as future therapeutics.
This symposium aims at shedding light on current knowledge on the role of the immune system and inflammatory processes in cardiovascular pathology and will provide a platform for exchange between experienced and young researchers interested in this topic.
